Converter
Georgia-Pacific knows your business. Over the years, Georgia-Pacific has established close ties with our converting customers, and we've learned what's most important in this key industry: products that perform every time and truly responsive customer service. At Georgia-Pacific, we make it our business to deliver reliable products and the support services our customers have come to depend on.
Above all, converters need paper that performs reliably. By manufacturing quality in at the mill, we make sure converters don't have paper problems to solve on press:
Runnability: Converting papers must be strong enough to withstand the rigors of high-speed printing and converting processes as well as the high temperatures of laser printing. GP engineers its line of converting papers so that converters achieve the best results - consistently - and so do their customers.
Printability: Ink receptivity, uniformity, smoothness, compressibility and opacity - our converting grades get high marks in appearance and print quality factors time after time.
Low Curl: Curl is a key challenge for forms printers because it can occur at so many points in the process: in the printer's storeroom, on the press, in the imaging processes. Georgia-Pacific's relies on industry "best manufacturing practices" to control curl and deliver a high-performance sheet that's resistant to negative environmental effects.
Low Moisture: Moisture loss results in shrinkage and distortion, but GP converting papers are run to moisture targets that deliver the best performance for each application.
