Georgia-Pacific Completes Sale of its Joint Venture Share in Turkey

Today, Georgia-Pacific has announced that it has completed the sale of its stake in the shared joint venture Ipek Kagit to the Eczacibasi Group. The sale follows successful completion of applicable regulatory approvals.

The sale includes all aspects of the Ipek Kagit business including the mills at Karamursel and Manisa and the Ipek Kagit brands including Selpak and Solo.

Headquartered at Atlanta, Georgia-Pacific is one of the world’s leading manufacturers and marketers of building products, tissue, packaging, paper, cellulose and related chemicals. The company employs more than 40,000 people at approximately 300 locations in North America, South America and Europe.
