Innovation Institute®
Georgia-Pacific's Innovation Institute® is a creative and collaborative environment.
The Innovation Institute® is designed to facilitate collaboration, break-through thinking and next generation packaging solutions. It offers the tools, processes, materials, and performance testing capabilities to thoroughly analyze linerboard and medium.
We are an International Safe Transit Association (ISTA) certified facility and members of the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM,) Institute of Packaging Professionals (IOPP) and the Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper industry (TAPPI.) The Innovation Institute® laboratories are designed to evaluate and validate the effectiveness of packaging materials and design by putting packaging through rigorous testing. The materials testing lab focuses on performing key tests on liners, mediums and combined boards. These tests predict structural integrity and board optimization through proprietary packaging strength software.
