Scavengers

GP Chemicals produces a line of scavengers to help meet the increasing market need for lower emissions from wood products. Liquid urea- and formaldehyde-based scavengers help reduce emissions both in the manufacture of particleboard and medium density fiberboard (MDF) and in the finished products. Our technical staff can adapt the scavengers and partner them with other GP Chemicals wood adhesive products to help address a customer’s specific emission targets.

In the oil and gas industry, GP® 1450 triazine is used to scavenge hydrogen sulfide in land-based oil or gas wells. It is also used to eliminate hydrogen sulfide build-up in bulk tanks and pipelines.
