Emulsifiers for oilfield work

GP Chemicals distills crude tall oil into several tall oil fractions, including XTOL® tall oil fatty acids (TOFA) and LYTOR® tall oil rosin acids.

Our tall oil fatty acids are supplied to markets that use them in raw form and as precursors to synthesize new products. TOFA derivatives are numerous, including emulsifiers for oilfield drilling fluids.

LYTOR® proprietary pine-based disproportionated rosin soaps are used as emulsifiers in the polymerization of styrene-butadiene-rubber (SBR) and other synthetic rubbers.
