A wide variety of GP Chemicals products are used in building and construction. From our extensive line of wood adhesives to formaldehyde-free resins and formaldehyde- based products for insulation and glass mat, to products for carpet tile and gypsum board to fiber-reinforced polymer construction materials to laminate products for cabinetry, counters and flooring, the breadth and depth of our contribution to this industry is considerable.

In addition to these applications, GP Chemicals manufactures products that go into other specialized uses in building and construction. Our paper chemical internal alkaline size resins and retention polymers are used to produce gypsum board. Our pine-based XTOL® tall oil fatty acids (TOFA) are used to develop additives for the concrete and asphalt industries while Novares® tall oil rosin ester and LYTOR® tall oil rosins are used in the manufacture of pavement marking paints. GP® phenolic and melamine-formaldehyde resins are used in the manufacture of building and construction products such as foamboard and ceiling tile.
