Entry-Level Engineering (ELE) Programs

Our entry-level engineering (ELE) program brings together Georgia-Pacific facilities with talented engineers who are able to fill middle level supervisory and technical positions. Since the program began 14 years ago, we have hired more than 350 engineers into the program.

Engineers are given challenging, technically sophisticated, hands-on assignments. Our team approach to problem-solving yields shared knowledge, expertise and creative thinking. Click here to see locations where ELE's are placed.

In the ELE program, you are encouraged to stretch beyond established boundaries with innovative solutions helping you learn and grow. You'll gain knowing by having responsibilities such as:

  • Applying proven, reliable processes and equipment at our facilities;
  • Investigating and evaluating emerging technologies;
  • Maintaining close working relationships with equipment suppliers on a project-by-project basis, and working with raw materials suppliers on a similar technology interchange basis;
  • Facilitating technology transfer between various production facilities and interacting with colleagues at other Georgia-Pacific facilities;
  • And, establishing relationships and participating in activities with professional associations, universities and technical institutions
