Building with products that do not have traditional paper facings is just one more way of promoting the harmony, while reducing the conflict.
Rethinking interior walls, hallways, ceilings and roofs has large implications, not only for the construction cycle, but for the life cycle of buildings, as well.
It’s a radically simple idea. Traditional gypsum products are based on a sandwich design: a gypsum core – usually with some organic content – faced on both sides with industrial paper (also organic) to help maintain structural integrity.
Our engineers have perfected a process that replaces paper facings with fiberglass mats and treats the core to resist moisture.1
The results are buildings with inherent moisture forgiveness, and a strategy for minimizing the effects of weather on the construction cycle, squeezing delays and hidden cost out of the building process.
