Georgia-Pacific Resins, Inc. Launches EDI
ATLANTA, Georgia. November 01, 2000 -- Georgia-Pacific Resins, Inc. (GPRI) now has complete Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) capabilities. With the recent addition of EDI invoicing and purchase order functionality, GPRI can offer its customers a total EDI package.
EDI is the computer-to-computer communication of business messages in standard codes and formats, allowing the automatic and instantaneous input of messages to transaction-processing systems. Caryn E. King, manager market communications, said that with EDI capability now in place, customers can send purchase orders, GPRI can send invoices, and the customers can send payments, all electronically. According to King, "We are focused on making it easier for our customers to do business with us. In addition to being convenient, electronic transactions are more efficient. EDI reduces paperwork and, depending on the volume, decreases the cost of doing business."
Customers interested in setting up an EDI account should contact their GPRI salesperson or GPRI Customer Account Specialists Adrienne Griffin or Christine Butts at 800-765-7374.
